Dubai Fashion Week AW24 day 2

Fashion

Day 2 of Dubai Fashion Week impressed attendees with an array of contrasting collections, collaborations, and launches.

From the highly anticipated debut of Mrs. Keepa Studio-Couture SS 24 in collaboration with Sotheby’s Dubai to Maison Sara Chraibi’s evocative “La Terre” collection, each presentation offered a unique perspective on contemporary fashion.

Take a look at all the highlights from the day 2 of DFW AW24:

Maison Sara Chraibi

Sara Chraibi’s “La Terre” collection transported viewers on a journey inspired by Earth’s intricate details. With hues ranging from ochre to deep purple, the collection celebrated the essence of life through meticulously crafted pieces adorned with complex embroidery and perlage. Drawing inspiration from the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week SS2024 runways, Chraibi’s collection merged earthly tones with aquatic greens and blues, weaving a compelling tale of resilience and renewal.

Mrs. Keepa

Mrs. Keepa, known for its timeless elegance, collaborated with Sotheby’s Dubai to unveil the Mrs. Keepa Studio-Couture SS 24 collection. Titled the ‘Inhale Collection,’ the avant-garde designs drew inspiration from underwater creatures, evoking a sense of escapism through fluid shapes and textures. Dyson’s revolutionary Airstrait™️ straightener marked its debut at DFW, styling models for Mrs. Keepa’s show and adding to the innovative atmosphere of the event.

Anaya

Anaya’s “La Nuit” collection signaled a departure from its soft aesthetic, embracing bold sophistication tailored for the modern power woman. Drawing inspiration from the postwar glamour of the 1950s, the collection featured a monochromatic spectrum of blacks, off-whites, nudes, botanical greens, and vibrant reds. Traditional fabric manipulations were intertwined with modern twists, resulting in uniquely crafted silhouettes adorned with three-dimensional botanical motifs, draping, and sparkling sequins.

Humariff

Humariff’s collaborative collection, developed with students from the Humariff Academy, captured the beauty of nature through mirages in the desert. With blooming flowers, rhinestones, beads, and sequins, the pieces evoked the changing seasons, offering a refreshing take on traditional desert imagery. The exchangeable three-dimensional flowers added versatility to the collection, serving as prints, appliqués, and individual accessories.
